Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to an inclusive learning experience

Effective Date: June 2026

1. Our Commitment

AI Governance Institute, operated by Skill Up LLC, is committed to ensuring that AI Governance Institute is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.

We believe that professional development and AI governance education should be accessible to everyone, and we are actively working to ensure our platform provides an inclusive and accessible learning experience in line with recognised accessibility standards.

2. Standards We Aim to Meet

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

These guidelines help make web content more accessible for individuals with disabilities, including:

  • Visual impairments (including blindness, low vision, and colour blindness)
  • Hearing impairments (including deafness and hard of hearing)
  • Motor impairments (limited dexterity or mobility)
  • Cognitive and learning disabilities

3. Current Accessibility Features

We have implemented or are actively working to implement the following accessibility features:

  • Logical page structure using semantic HTML headings
  • Descriptive alternative text (alt text) for meaningful images
  • Full keyboard navigability across core platform functions
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios for text and interface elements
  • Ability to resize text without loss of functionality or content
  • Clear, descriptive link text and accessible button labels
  • Video captions and transcripts (being progressively implemented)

4. Known Limitations

We recognise that our platform is continuously evolving and may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards in all areas.

Known areas currently under improvement include:

  • Full closed captioning for all video content (ongoing implementation)
  • Full screen reader compatibility across all interactive components
  • Accessibility enhancements for downloadable PDF learning materials

We are actively working to improve these areas. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, we encourage you to contact us so we can prioritise improvements.

5. Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our platform is designed to be compatible with a range of assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)
  • Speech recognition software
  • Browser zoom functionality (up to 200% without loss of content)
  • High contrast and accessibility display modes

6. Feedback and Assistance

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our platform.

If you experience any accessibility barriers or require content in an alternative format, please contact us:
